L&T Mutual Fund launched new fund offer (NFO) L&T Emerging Business Fund, a closed ended scheme. The NFO Opens for subscription on 22 April 2014 & closes on 6 May 2014. No entry load will be applicable for the scheme.

  • Seeking long term capital appreciation

  • To generate long term capital appreciation from a diversified portfolio of predominantly equity and equity related securities , including equity derivatives, in the Indian market with focus on small cap stocks.  The scheme could also invest in foreign securities.
  • Emerging companies are business which are typically in the early stage of development and have the potential to grow their revenues and profit at a higher rate as compare to broader market.

Stock Selection Idea (NFO)

The fund manager will adopt a methodology of bottom up stock selection, with an emphasis on first hand research.

Soumendra Nath Lahiri: Mr. Lahiri holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from IIM Bangalore and an engineering degree as wellMr. Lahiri has over 21 years of rich experience of which 17 years of experience is in Equity Investments and Research. Prior to joining L&T AMC, he was Head of Equities at Canara Robeco AMC Co. Ltd., Chief Investment Officer – PMS at Emkay Investment Managers Ltd. (Jan, 11 to March, 11), Chief Investment Officer at Fortuna Capital (May, 2008 to December, 2010) and was also Co-Head – Equities with DSP Black Rock Investment Managers Pvt. Ltd. (June, 2004 to March, 2008).
Abhijeet Dakshikar: Mr. Dakshikar is a B.E and M.M.S from FinanceHe has an experience of 10 years. Prior to this, he was with Mirae (AMC) for Jan,10-Jun,12 as Fund Manager, from Aug 2007-Sep 2009 as Research Analyst in RBS Equities Ltd., Ap 2004-Jul 2007 as Research Analyst in Man Financial Securities Ltd.
Rajesh Pherwani: Prior to being the Fund Manager-Foreign Securities at L&T, he was Head of research at L&T and associated with HDFC AMC.N.A.[/wptabcontent]
