CAMS SIP Cancellation Form – Download PDF & How to Stop Your SIP

Want to stop your mutual fund SIP? If your investments are serviced by CAMS (Computer Age Management Services) — India’s largest registrar and transfer agent (RTA) — you can use this single common SIP cancellation form for most fund houses. Download it below, fill it in, and submit it at your nearest CAMS service centre.

What Is the CAMS SIP Cancellation Form?

CAMS acts as the shared back-office (registrar) for many asset management companies in India. Instead of maintaining separate processes, several fund houses accept one common SIP/SWP/STP cancellation form processed through CAMS.

Submitting this form stops future SIP installments in your folio. It does not sell or redeem your existing units — your money stays invested until you redeem separately.

Mutual Funds You Can Cancel With This Form

One CAMS SIP stop request works for the following fund houses:

Note: a few fund houses occasionally update their process or prefer their own form. If your AMC is listed above but rejects the common form, check its official website or use the AMC-specific page linked above.

How to Fill the CAMS SIP Cancellation Form

Fill in these details carefully (match them exactly with your folio records):

  1. Folio number – mentioned on your account statement.
  2. First holder name and PAN – as registered with the fund house.
  3. Scheme name and plan – exact scheme name, and whether Regular or Direct plan.
  4. SIP details – SIP amount, frequency (monthly/quarterly) and the registration number/date, if asked.
  5. Reason for cancellation (optional) – you may leave this blank.
  6. Signature(s)all unit holders must sign exactly as per the folio records. A mismatched signature is the most common reason for rejection.

How to Submit the Form – Step by Step

  1. Download the CAMS SIP cancellation form PDF above.
  2. Take a printout and fill it in as explained in the previous section.
  3. Sign it (all holders, as per folio).
  4. Submit it at your nearest CAMS Point of Service (POS) or the fund house office. You can find branches on the official CAMS website.
  5. Ask for an acknowledgement stamp on a photocopy — this is your proof of submission.
  6. Many fund houses also accept a scanned, self-attested copy sent by email from your registered email ID — confirm with your AMC before using this option.

Important Points Before You Cancel Your SIP

  • Submit early. Most fund houses require the request at least 30 days before the next SIP date. Requests received later may result in one more installment being debited.
  • Your existing investment stays invested. Cancelling the SIP only stops future purchases; it does not redeem units or trigger any tax.
  • No charges apply for stopping a SIP, though redeemed units later may attract exit load or capital gains tax depending on the scheme and holding period.
  • Consider pausing instead. In a temporary cash crunch, a SIP pause facility may suit you better than full cancellation.
  • Cancel unused mandates separately if needed. Stopping a SIP does not always deactivate the NACH/e-mandate on your bank account.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does cancelling a SIP affect my past investment?

No. Only future installments stop. The units you have already bought remain in your folio and continue to be valued as per the scheme’s NAV.

Can I restart the same SIP later?

Yes. Simply submit a fresh SIP registration form (or start it online) whenever you want — there is no restriction.

Is there any penalty for stopping a SIP?

No. Mutual fund SIPs in India are not like loan EMIs — there is no penalty or charge for cancelling.

Can I cancel only one SIP out of several in the same folio?

Yes. Mention the specific scheme and SIP details in the form; other SIPs in the same folio continue unaffected.
